I am SO GLAD to see someone doing weight loss vids using common sense, and not advocating starvation!! Yay for you! It makes me literally sick to see all of the ‘ana’ vids on YouTube, telling people how to make a head of lettuce last the whole week without browning or becoming ‘inedible’. I would LOVE to promote you on YouTube, and make sure everyone thinking of slimming watch your vids. Wonderful job, and thanks loads for your info.

That’s a good tip about the rice, a lot of people don’t know, or maybe are shy to try rices from the international stores. It’s much better than the typical rice found in stores. One of my Asian friends was kind enough to give me a rice cooking lesson after I asked her why her rice was awesome and mine sucked.

Go to Amazon and look up Tasty Bite. They have a great variety of WONDERFUL pre-made Indian and some Thai dishes (mostly vegan/Kosher). Some are available with or without rice, but you do have to buy them by the case online. Read the user reviews for hints. I favor the Peas Paneer, and Satay and Rendang Vegetables. Your grocer might order them, too.

That canned pumpkin is great stuff! The missus makes a pumpkin “pieless” just like you described, with Splenda and spices, but no crust. =^[.]^=

its still a bit moderate, 30 mins on the treadmill – 3/4 times a week. I have only been back on track about a month now but after cutting down big time on processed foods I have never totally gained back all that I have lost in the last few years.

aye I am not going to let the ghee stop me from having curries, I am not sure the cook time on rice when its not in a rice cooker will check the packaging and let you know

Really varied and interesting. These “international” rices that require pre rinsing, are they also raw and requiring of 1 or 2 hours to cook?
Clarified butter (ghee) may be high in saturated fat, but at least it is a natural food.
