When talking about popular diets, there are three popular dieting techniques which are much effective. They are,
South Beach Diet: this diet is introduced by a cardiologist named Arthur Agaston in Miami, Florida. The ultimate aim of this diet is to alter a person’s eating habit. This technique advises us to have goof fats and carbohydrates and also to avoid the wrong one. The initial part of this dieting technique is to avoid food with high glycemic carbs. They also suggest, taking more vegetables meats, nuts, cheese and eggs is better than having bread, fruits or potatoes. Three meals per day are allowed with snacks too.
There are three phases in this diet. First phase is for two week. Second phase allows us to eat small amount of fruit and grain food. The third and final phase is the maintenance phase in which three servings of fruit and three servings of grain foods are allowed. But remember, before entering the final phase you should have achieved the goal weight.
Atkins Diet: this diet is named after its founder Robert Atkins. This idea mainly focuses on moderating the intake of carbohydrates. In other words, to eliminate carbohydrate rich foods as they attack the body’s blood sugar. This increases the hunger pangs because of low blood sugar. In this technique, instead of focusing on body glucose, the stored body fat is maintained. Like the previous mentioned diet, Atkins diet also has three phases.
In first phase you are restricted to have foods which are rich in carbs. Because of these restrictions, the body weight can be reduced up to 10lbs. In the second phase there will be no restrictions in taking carb rich food. But the interesting fact is that, even by taking carb rich food, your weight still loses. In the final phase, there will be a analysis on how much carb food you can take on a day without increasing weight. With that measurement you can continue the daily life.
Best Life Diet: this diet is well known and has made good review results. Best life diet does not restrict oneself from eating a particular variety of food. But ones choice of food will be gradually changed. This dieting technique does not involve any calorie measurements and other sort of things. But self control should be there for the dieter. He/she should look for the weight and should manage the diet. Complete responsibility is over the dieter and the steps are gradual which makes this diet a popular one.
